From my experience, one of the best ways to make the holidays feel special is by refreshing your decor with a new style.
I’ve been seeing so many gorgeous contemporary ideas lately, and I wanted to pull together a post sharing some of my favorites to inspire you as you think about your home projects this year. The creative possibilities are just amazing!
Treats For Your Table
I’m a big believer that getting your home into the Christmas spirit doesn’t have to be expensive. It really is easy to create that holiday feeling whether you have a large or small budget.
I love taking birthday lolly jars out of storage and filling them up to surprise any visitors. Just adding a few strategically placed baubles and some candles can bring something really special to a room.

Red And Green That Can Be Seen
Let me be clear, I don’t think red and green is a bad choice at all. But I do think it’s easy to go overboard with it.
I’ve found some ideas for how you can still embrace those traditional holiday elements, like trees, stars, and Santa, without creating a look that’s too much.
And just so you know, stylish definitely doesn’t mean it has to be dull. You just have to see the dancing tree and that Santa cushion for proof!

Christmas Colour Palettes
I truly believe there’s nothing wrong with using classic reds and greens for your home, but if you’re someone who really enjoys mixing things up for Christmas, you shouldn’t be afraid to go in a different direction.
If a brand new tree isn’t in the budget, you can instead get new decorations that coordinate with your existing interior decor. I think matching them to your cushions is a great place to start. Or, you could invest in a completely new tree.
For a beautiful white Christmas theme, a white tree is the way to go. You could even do something really bold and create a black and white Christmas corner.
Treat yourself to a canvas print that gives off a totally contemporary vibe, or you could DIY a warm, rustic feeling with natural fabrics and fibers.
